Jule 
Mayer

Jule Mayer is a Barcelona-based filmmaker whose work explores female-centered narratives. Some of her work is shaped by power dynamics, and psychological tension. A graduate of the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC), Jule draws inspiration from arthouse and independent cinema, her films often delve into themes of identity and moral ambiguity, told through unreliable perspectives and emotionally charged storytelling.

 

She completed two short films in 2025, and is currently developing a horror short, centred around an exorcism, exploring religious trauma, and queer identity through the lens of a witch-hunt-style narrative.
